Mariana Primera
Ms. Primera joined John Hancock in 2011 and is a Managing Director on the Power and Infrastructure team. She is responsible for public and private credit decisions in the US utility sector and for originating and structuring debt transactions in the power generation and infrastructure markets in the USA and Latin America. She has worked in the power sector since 2006. Prior to Hancock, she worked as a Credit Risk Analyst for Edison Mission Energy where she provided credit risk management oversight to over a billion dollars of credit exposure. Previous roles include Financial Analyst for a biofuel developer targeting Latin America and for Veolia Energy North America. Ms. Primera graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University with a concentration in Finance. Mariana is a CFA Charter holder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
