As Vice President of Origination, Austin deButts leads the sourcing and contracting for all offtake and asset purchase opportunities on behalf of Sun Tribe Development’s 3GW+ pipeline of utility-scale and “legacy grade” solar and storage assets across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Prior to Sun Tribe, Mr. deButts occupied various project finance & development roles for both onsite and offsite solar project opportunities for Sol Systems in Washington, DC and New York. Mr. deButts is a graduate of Princeton University’s School of Public & International Affairs with a concentration on Climate, Energy & the Environment and a former Fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute.
